Campaign – Body Technician Referral Program
One of the largest problems facing the auto body repair industry today is a shortage of auto body technicians. One of ABRA’s strategies to combat this problem was a massive campaign throughout each of their markets to entice people in the community to refer technicians they know. Anyone who refers an auto body technician to ABRA would be paid $2,500, given a few limitations (tech had to be employed for at least 90 days, etc.). The revenue generated from this campaign was far and away above its cost, and is still being used today.
I developed the overarching visual language for this highly successful campaign.
Loosely based on Constructivist designs, the “flag” was made to convey the main message and developed for usage across a number of applications including:
- Flyers – distributed to community events by Sales team across the country
- Business cards – given to customer in ABRA locations
- Website – promotion and where we funneled referrals through a form
- Counter signs – on customer counters in ABRA locations
- Digital monitor animations – animations developed to play in onsite digital monitors
- Billboards – placed in Chicago, IL and Cincinnati, OH
- Spanish flyer – distributed at community events with large Latino populations
Other applications included radio spots, vehicle wraps, and more. However, I have not included them since I was not the primary designer/writer on these applications.
